The short version

Every calculator on SemesterGrade runs entirely in your browser. The grades, credits and targets you type are never sent to us, never uploaded anywhere, and never stored. Close the tab and they are gone. We have no accounts, no sign-ups and no database of student information.

What we do collect

• Basic server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting keeps standard technical logs (page requested, time, browser type, approximate region) for security and to keep the site running. These are not linked to anything you type into a calculator.
• Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and see which tools are used most, so we know what to improve. This is aggregate information — visit counts, not your grades.
• Email you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and keep it only as long as needed to answer and handle the issue raised.

Cookies

The calculators themselves set no cookies. If advertising is added to the site in future, advertising partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and this policy will be updated before that happens. You can block cookies in your browser without affecting any calculator.

Downloads

The spreadsheet templates are plain files. Downloading one is a normal file download — the file contains no tracking, and whatever you later type into your own copy of the spreadsheet stays in your copy, on your device or in your own Google/Excel account under those providers' policies.

Children

Students of any age can use the calculators precisely because we collect no personal information from them. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
